Buckwheat vegan waffles

Vegan, gluten free
Buckwheat flour 2 cups +4 teaspoons
Melted vegan butter 4 tablespoons
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1+1/4 cups almond milk
½ teaspoon lemon juice
First things first turn on your waffle machine and heat it up according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
In a mixing bowl mix together melted vegan butter, vanilla essence, almond milk and lemon juice and brown sugar. Whisk together to combine and dissolve the sugar.
Sift the buck wheat flour and baking powder into the wet mixture. Using a Whisk mix the mixture ensuring to remove any lumps.
Spray your waffle machine with a little oil (if it’s not nonstick).
When your waffle machine has reached temperature pour the recommended amount of mixture according to your waffle machine instructions into the waffle machine. Close down the lid and allow to cook until golden brown usually 5-7 minutes. This may vary depending on your machine.
Best eaten straight away served with delicious fresh strawberries dollop of coconut yogurt and lashing of good quality maple syrup.
