Avo smash without flashing the ca$h!

Avocado smash in a flash..


2 large ripe avocados

Half the juice of a lemon.

¼ red onion.

2 medium sized tomatoes with the core removed & seeded

50g feta cheese


Avo smash in a flash ….

Finely dice the ¼ of the onion

Cut the tomato’s in half and remove the seeds and core. Now finely dice the tomato into cubes.

Simply cut your avocado in half, remove the stone. Scoop out the flesh into a bowl.

Cut the avocado in half and remove the stone. Using a spoon, scoop out the avocado.

Now place avocado in a bowl. Using a folk mash the avocado but still remaining slightly chunky.

Next step in to add the tomato & onion, gently stirring into the avocado.

Now add the lemon juice.

The citric acid in the lemon juice prevents the avocado from turning brown. Crumble in the feta cheese.

Taste it may require some salt & pepper. Be careful the feta will be salty.

I like to serve my avocado smash on rye toast or toasted sourdough. Also highly recommend serving with some poached eggs.
